Work is well underway on the $230 million Carmichael Rail Network North Civil Package.
The scope of works includes, construction of 86 kilometres of rail formation works, 10 new multi-span bridges and installation of over 40km of culverts.
At the peak of works, the team will consist of more than 100 staff and 600 blue collar workers. The project team has mobilised on site and is currently on schedule to deliver this major, complex rail project.
The project is being delivered under Martinus self delivery model, utilising local plant hire companies and our internal blue collar workforce.
This is one of the most logistically complex and environmentally sensitive projects currently being delivered in Australia.
The Martinus team worked collaboratively with the Adani team through an early works agreement to optimise and innovate the design and construction methodologies, this has resulted in an improved design and construction program.
The project is exceeding the social sustainability targets, with 9 per cent indigenous employment, and more than $70m of spend going to the local regions and communities.
