Scope

Martinus has been awarded sole source Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) by Sydney Metro for the Southwest Metro package 4, consisting of a substantial amount of design development, site investigation works and development of the accepted Martinus Design and Construction offer.

Overview

Martinus will help deliver Australia’s biggest public transport project, Sydney Metro. Sydney Metro is revolutionising how Australia’s biggest city travels, connecting Sydney’s north west, south west and greater west to fast, reliable turn-up-and-go metro services with fully accessible stations.

By 2030, Sydney will have a network of four metro lines, 46 stations and 113 km of new metro rail. Passenger services from Chatswood to Sydenham will commence in 2024, then on to Bankstown in 2025.

  • 76 locations adjacent to the corridor requiring upgrades;
  • 15 bridges across the Southwest Metro Corridor, of which:
  • 8 bridges are located at existing stations; and
  • 7 are non-station bridges.

The works will also include significant coordination with live rail operations, commuters, existing utilities, and live traffic.
